This blog has been through a lot of changes over the years. Just like I have, I guess. I started Barely Jessica back in 2009 and it has seen me through some of my best (and worst) times. Just look through the archives to see what I mean.
What do I blog about? Well just about anything and everything I want to. Be it piercings, tattoos, recipes, books, movies, depression or mommyhood in general. This blog is who I am as a person. As I change, my writing changes . So you will see different styles of writing throughout. I can be funny, bitchy or Debbie Downer. It all depends.
I like to take pictures. I am NOT a photographer. So to all those bitchy photogs out there, calm your tits if I accidentally use the word photography. Put the damn pitchforks down because I am not claiming to be something I’m not. I like to take pictures and edit them and I feel like a blog entry is incomplete without some kind of photograph to illustrate it. I usually always try to include some kind of picture in my entries.
This blog has been through a lot. I have exported and deleted all entries numerous times, only to import them again later. Therefore, every entry prior to October 2011 is screwed up. All of the pictures are missing. The only way I can fix that is if I go through each individual post and re-upload the pictures. Maybe I will try to fix it in my spare time. Maybe not. I am just forewarning you… they are seriously effed up.
To the right, on my sidebar, there is a little menu of links to the other sites I use. Let me provide a short explanation of what those sites are and what I use them for.
Google + — I don’t use it. At all. Ever. But hey, it’s there if you wanna add me.
Facebook — This is a link to this blog’s fan page. I try to update it with writing prompts, random words for increasing your vocabulary and links to current blog posts. This is NOT my personal Facebook.
Fictionpress — Yeah. I have like two stories on there. And they are both garbage. And one is unfinished. But hey, if you want to read them have at it.
Lightbox – This is my mobile photoblog. I update it from my phone as I am out and about and doing stuff. So if that interests you, go ahead and follow me. If you have an Android powered cell phone, I highly suggest the Lightbox app. It is very nifty and has cute effects to apply to your photos before you post them.
NaNoWriMo — I participate (and fail) in NaNoWriMo every year. Add me as a writing buddy. I need all the encouragement that I can get.
Pinterest — I usually repin recipes that sound delish and stuff I wanna make for the kids. I also have a pinboard dedicated exclusively to inspiration for the novel I am currently writing.
SparkPage — This is where I keep up with my diet, exercise and weight loss. If you are on this website, feel free to add me. Let’s struggle to lose weight together!
Tumblr – This is where I fangirl like crazy. At the moment it is mostly Harry Potter stuff and Snarry fanfiction.
Twitter – I don’t really use twitter anymore. Mostly, it automatically updates when I do stuff elsewhere on the web. If you do end up following me, let me know and I’ll be sure to follow back.
