This is a continuation of my post from yesterday. Read that one first if you want to know how the first half of 2010 played out for me and my family. There are also links to 2009′s year in pictures. Go ahead and check them out. I’ll wait right here.
Are you back? Okay! Without further ado here is Part 2 of 2010, My Year in Pictures!
July 2010
In July I made some Baked Ranch Chicken and shared the recipe for you guys. (The first and only recipe ever on this blog!) I took time out from the hustle and bustle of being a housewife to just be mommy. I received a couple of very lovely anniversary presents from my husband to celebrate five years of marriage, and I also reminisced about our unconventional wedding. I moved Barely Jessica to it’s own domain and switched my blogging platform to WordPress. I also reviewed some awesome pens. Insomnia plagued me and I took Alyssa to get her first manicure! Overall, July was a nice month!
August 2010
In August, we said goodbye to Hawaii and also goodbye to Nibbler. I only posted twice in August thanks to being so busy with the move back to the mainland! It was a bittersweet month.
We spent the rest of the month in California and had a fantastic time. You can see pictures from our San Diego Zoo trip here, and pictures from our trip to Oceanside here.
September 2010
September was a black hole of a month, just like it was in 2009. I only posted once. Here. I barely have any pictures from that month as well. Just a few of Amber. And WordPress won’t even let me upload those.
October 2010
In October, after a month of being in Louisiana, we finally got our own place. We also carved our first pumpkin. And welcomed a few new furry friends into our home.
November 2010
In November, my life was pretty much consumed by NaNoWriMo. ( And I won!!!!) You can read the first 11 chapters of my NaNoWriMo novel here. We also celebrated the 3rd Birthday of my sweet Amber.
December 2010
In December, after four months with no mode of transportation we were finally able to buy a car. We spent some quality time with Chuck Norris and Mr. T. I reviewed some more awesome pens. We went to Natchitoches to see the Festival of Lights while my father in law was in town visiting and I contemplated going back into the Army Reserves. And though I have yet to blog about it, I got a job (the first in 5 years, other than the Reserves!) as a security guard of all things! A nice way to end the year I think. 2010 has definitely had it’s ups and downs and I am more than ready to see what 2011 has in store for us.
And that, my friends, was my 2010. I hope you enjoyed the second part of this post and I hope everyone has a very happy new year! (I will be working, but I am definitely NOT complaining!!!) Have a great one! See you in 2011!
